It's been 6 months and 3 days since my fall on the mountain bike trail and resulting whiplash injury. Today...I rode an entire 3.5 miles (thereabouts) on a very easy beginner trail, and it felt wonderful. My neck was fine with it during the ride, if there are no repercussions tonight then I am good to go :)
I took it very easy during that first lap and my body seemed to remember what it was supposed to do :cool: Even found myself out of the saddle on some gentle "downhillish" sections without thinking about it.. An evil tree did try to grab my bar a time or two but I saved it - no falling over at all. The couple of times I came close I was able to...just...stop without falling.
A very modest beginning/return indeed, and I will take it with gratitude :D
