North American Handmade Bicycle Show (pics & videos)
This year NAHBS was in my hometown, so naturally I had to make the most of it! :D Sacramento is normally rather boring compared to places like San Francisco, so when something neat happens here it's something to be cherished.
Since I volunteered doing bike parking for SABA, I got in free two days. I volunteered on Friday and chose Saturday for my second free day, since Sunday was the day I wanted to go mountain biking.
I did two complete walk-throughs. For the first one, I recorded video continuously. I edited out all the shots of the floor as I was walking between booths, so here's 24 1/2 minutes of nothing but bicycles. Enjoy!

On Saturday I rode in the NAHBS Artbike bike parade. There were quite a few "Burning Man" type bikes, including a pedal-powered palm tree that you can see in the first part of the video. Unfortunately he had mechanical trouble so he didn't make it very far.
The ride started at Fremont Park and ended at the Sacramento Convention Center, where NAHBS was held.
