Love this! I posted a link to your blog post to my Facebook wall. There are many great reasons for riding a bike. :)
I think the proverb expresses so simply for cyclists and to others about what cycling can do for a person....among 5 monks and teacher.
Our LBS had shirts that said that a few years ago. :)
We need to tell this simple story.
Sometimes all the right statistical data, technical explanations and just saying "It's awesome" to non-cyclists/fence-sitters still doesn't do it for some folks. :)
I make fun of the "Drive to work, work to drive" mentality a lot of people have. But if they said "I bicycle to work, and work so I can afford to bicycle", it would make perfect sense to me. :D
We have that hanging on our wall.
