what type of lamp/light do you recommend?

any specific lights you recommend? i think i'm going to get one to do some night riding.

again, totally new and know nothing, so input is appreciated!

Night Rider is the one everyone I know uses. At least I think that is what it is called.

We see quite a few Light & Motion out and about, the rechargeable battery is nice.

I have two for seeing on those dark and rainy times (at either end of the day).

DiNotte XML-3 (my new favorite).

I have a MagicShine - I have not used it in total darkness and only for about 30 minutes, but it is very bright, plus came with a helmet adapter, less than $50 on Ebay(NWT).
