What do you gals like as far as nice, relaxing, aromatic bubble bath?
Bubbles and a glass of wine!
I haven't had a good bath tub in a while, but I've had better luck with bath salts and essential oils for an aromatic bath. A lot of those products won't necessarily have great bubbles. Aveeno makes some nice bath additives, and I really like how my skin feels afterwards.
I like eucalyptus and lavender for scents.
Bubbles always look like they're going to feel great, but I'm often disappointed. The fun and novelty wears off pretty quickly, so when I buy something to add to my bath I focus on things that smell nice and make my skin feel good, which is not necessarily bubbles.
I like Kneipp herbal bath products. They feel great and smell great, bubble very little at first and settle down into little swirly patterns that float around on the water and make me daydream like I'm watching clouds go by.
The lavender is is my current favorite, but hops is nice, and so is melissa, and several others. They market some as 'relaxing' and some as 'invigorating' etc. but I just pick whatever smells best to me at the moment.
And don't worry, even though the colors are surprisingly bright, they won't turn your tub bright blue or orange. (Although if they did, it would look great with the stains from the purple hair color!)
I love bath bombs/fizzers/bubblers/etc from LUSH (depending on where you are).
They're a bit pricey, but for my 1-2 baths a month, completely worth it. The stores can be overwhelming scent-wise and product-wise, but if I go in with a purpose and hit the bins of bath bombs all is well. I had one the other night that was avacado (and some other stuff) and it made my skin super soft. They also have amazing salt/sugar scrubs (and everything else, but I'm not made of $$$...).
And a glass of wine always helps :)
My favorites are the vanilla scented and the fruit scented ones from Bath and Body Works.
Aura Cacia (I think that's what it's called) from the health food store in ginger mint. mmmm.
The LUSH stores are completely overwhelming...I can usually smell them from a block away :)
The sales people also have an annoying habit of trying to up-sell everything-- don't you need x, y, and z to go with what you came for??? I find that if I have a plan, it's not too bad, plus I usually buy a pile of them in one trip so I don't have to go too often.....
It's always interesting to hear what you guys like using, just to get new ideas, so when I noticed LUSH is popular I chuckled a bit, as the company is from my home town, Poole in the UK. When you cycle even a mile or so away from their factory, there is always a lovely smell.
Don't mind what I use, I just love a lovely soak in the bath, great for any aches and pains.
I love EO lavander bubble bath and Chris Issac playing. Mmmmmmm good combo!
