What's the verdict? See in a theater? Wait to rent? Buy? Ignore? I've never seen any W&G but I love Chicken Run.

my boss and his wife liked it.... i haven't seen it...
LOVED IT!
If you seen any of the Wallace and Grommit shorts, (I own all of them on DVD) then you'll love the full length movie. It has a few adult jokes sprinkled throughout the movie. Nothing racy at all. It was just something I noticed in the theater. With some jokes, the adults would laugh and the kids would remain silent. Also rent Chicken Run if you haven't seen that yet. Chicken Run is the best of the claymation however, the Were-Rabbit is pure Wallace and Grommit nostalgia.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago - fabulous!
Five of us from my office took a very long lunch hour and went to the movies. Wallace & Gromit definitely provided a good escape for us...

But oddly enough, we haven't gotten around to seeing the movie yet - go figure !
But of course, it will be great. :D
* Tell you what, I'll bring them Saturday if you'd like to borrow them for a bit.

I don't want to be a pie ;)
woo woo SK, you're in luck, I also came across a tape of a PBS program that aired a few years back on how Nick Park (the creator of W & G) and Aardman studios made the stop-motion films. Amazing stuff.
Cool, Bubba was very happy to hear about the first offer. Having the documentary will be good also.
Speaking of documentarys, did you see the "documentary" of the Colbert Report "filmed narrated by Ken Burns" the other night? Silly boys.
DH and I get to the movie theatre about once every 18 months. W & G is a definite see in the theatre....but it hasn't been here yet. Egad, I can't wait to live in a bigger city!!
Namaste,

Jo, we watched all three of the shorts last night (and finished up the pizza). Those were wonderful! I especially liked "A Close Shave." Lesseee, Bubba and I have been together 21 and a half years now and have been in a movie theater together maybe 4 times. Might have to do it again. I don't want to wait for "Were Rabbit" to come out on DVD.
Thanks for the loan.
Very glad you liked them !! My favorite is the middle one - "The Wrong Trousers". I almost P'd in my pants laughing so hard the first time I saw the chase scene with the model train set.
Lee's and my Thanksgiving tradition is to go to a movie (preferably a Harry Potter movie) and then out to dinner at a restaurant. Some years that'll be the only day we go to a movie theater. :rolleyes:Quote:

Finally get to see this movie tomorrow, so excited!
I was so gutted to hear that the whole of the W&G sets had gone up in flames though ...
