I use Sport Tracks for my rides and runs and and an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of everything - swimming, running, trainer sessions, yoga, riding, and video minutes.

I use RunningAHEAD.com. I've been there for >5 years. I love the way the site has evolved and the Garmin integration. It works great for logging both my running and cycling miles.

velod.com is good too does a sort of spread sheet with a drop down list of activities and areas for weight, power, cadence, heart rate and several others.

I've gone back and forth, paper, Excel, and tried a bunch of the online sites. I probably do best with Excel because it keeps me offline and I can set it up with only the fields I want. But I got lazy and didn't keep it up well.
I now use Training Peaks, which has crazy depth in terms of features but is simple enough for me to plug in my main activities and metrics and skip the rest. My favorite part is having a good weekly summary in terms of workout time per type (bike, crosstrain, etc.)
The main trick for me to use it, which I highly recommend for anyone using Mozilla Firefox as a browser, is to use the new "Pin as App Tab" feature (you have to upgrade to the most current version of Firefox). I love this -- every time I open Firefox there's the TP tab staring me in the face, asking me "what workout can you add now??" Weirdly enough it's more than a reminder, it's gotten me off the computer and out the door to my bike figuratively AND literally.
1+ on Training Peaks. You can also do training program and get your day workouts by email.

+1 for Sport Tracks. I like the training load plugin as it helps me gauge my efforts and not overtrain. I can also see my fitness grow.

I can track run, bike and swim (important for a triathlete).
I really like MapMyRide, and have the cheapest paid subscription so I can print maps when I need them. Not enamored of their new site though, so may start looking around to see what else is out there.
I use Map My Ride, but my primary data is from CycleStats. Very complete and easy to use.
