Am I Nuts?
Hi, I'm brand new here but have been a fan of the TE site for ages. I just had my second baby in 3 years and have decided to try for my first triathlon next summer... Is that nuts? Achievable? Anyone in a similar situation?
I love biking and B.B. (before babies) did a couple of randonne rides. B.B., I used to swim up to 4 x week too... Ah, the days of free time.
I'm at my weakest and least in shape I've ever been - having babies can really take it outta ya! ;) I'm hoping for some tips for training - how you find the time; other than just biking, swimming, and running as often as possible, is there anything else to include in training? Any tips or hints would be appreciated :D.
Cheers!!

Ha, that's the same thread title I used a year and a half ago asking about a different goal.
We're all nuts here. Welcome. :)
No advice - I just finished my first tri (sprint) less than three hours ago and am way too sleep-deprived for anything - but if I could do it, so can you. :D

Wow, that's awesome! Enjoy your rest!!
I should add that I'm also 35 and my youngest baby is only 9 weeks and the older isn't 2 yet. So it's busy times here! ;)

I've never had a baby, or done a tri, but I'm pretty sure you're not nuts. Seems like a reasonable goal to me, especially since you have an athletic background. I bet the hardest part will be finding the time to train.
