capri/no chamois

I want to get a pair of capri length pants, however, like my long pants for winter, I don't want the padding so I can just wear them over my shorts. I have been seaching I so far from what I see, they all come with padding. Has anyone seen capri's without chamois?

Have you tried knee warmers instead of capris? I use Pearl Izumi Therma Fleece kneee warmers, and they work great for me. I actually do have some capris that I bought more for walking and indoor exercise, but I don't like them for cycling because the legs are a little shorter than I like for on the bike.
