Susan O. - cycling shorts review?

Hi Susan! I loved reading about your amazing 200K ride - what an amazing accomplishment! I think you mentioned doing a write-up about shorts or the clothes you took and what worked well for you? I am in the market for some new high-compression bike shorts or bibs for a 2 week/ 70 to 100 miles per day tour this summer. Any advice ? I am 5ft 1.5 and small (hips 35.5 or so, 105 lbs). I have found that the most fabulous chamois is worthless if the shorts get too stretchy and the chamois moves around. I prefer longer legged shorts, and am not crazy about the silicone type leg bands. Thanks for any input! Oh, and ps, my DH bought a whisper light rain jacket from Specialized this winter - so little you can squeeze it into a fist. Sort of an emergency better than nothing thing you can carry in a pocket. What do you carry that is similar? Thanks so much~ Tokie
