This morning I had a beautiful 23.5 mile ride. It started by riding with a friend on the Zionsville Rail-Trail - he hasn't ridden all year and has very bad feet, so we were riding quite slow - but that was fine. The point was to encourage him to get out on his bike. Hopefully that will encourage his wife to get her bike out as well :)
After that I continued onto my usual country roads, and was out for 3 hours before all was said and done. The temps did jump quite a bit in those 3 hours, but still more pleasant from earlier this week. Saw 2 deer, a woodpecker, and assorted other birds :)
Shifting is getting easier and more intuitive - and while I forgot to put Cytomax in my water bottle, I was thankful because at one point I poured that bottle over my head. It felt great! Body dealt better with the heat as well - this is good as the Tour de Cure, Indianapolis, is two weeks from today!
