Hmm... I've worn my sleeveless down to below 60, which felt a little crazy. Armpits and arms could have used the extra coverage. ;) It was still a surprisingly fast swim, though, I just felt like my arms never warmed up. I could tell after the first 200-500m that it would be too cold the whole way.
I think 66 would be warm enough, definitely over 70. If you'd get a chance to swim in the water in advance (like the day before), I'd test it out, though.
I think you will be ok. That is about the water temp here, and I almost feel too warm in my full suit once I get going.
Good! I really didn't want to buy a suit with full sleeves. :p

Water temp at Folsom Lake is down to 63. Swim start is at 6:30. 6:30 this morning it was only 45 degrees out.
There is still time for me to get a full sleeved wetsuit. I think...

What's your tolerance for cold?
I find that I'm fine in a sleeveless down to my "I don't want to be in this water anyway, because it's giving me a headache when I put my face in" cutoff...which I discovered this spring is <54 degrees.
I swam in 60F with a full sleeved wetsuit last weekend. I'm a cold water wuss but I was fine. I think a sleeveless would have been ok at 66F
How long is the swim?
1.2 miles.
