I got blasted by an Air Horn...

and my ear is still ringing! :mad:

Yesterday some idiots in a pick-up decided to blast me with an air horn as they passed me. It just about knocked me off my bike. And since the window of the truck was just about the exact same height as my ear, the blast got me extra specially good.

Then they turned into a driveway and I so wanted to ride in after them and yell at them. But for several reasons, I decided this would not be a wise idea.

Why do people think this kind of thing is funny? Cuz it's not :(

I had some jackholes do this to me a few Summers ago as I ran by a Marina. Had I been able to identify which boat it came from I would have called the cops. It's harassment.

If I saw them turn into a driveway or was able to get the license plate, I would have called the cops.

Probably would not have been a wise idea to follow them, I would have wanted to as well.

I have a bicycle pump filled air horn for the bike. It can do 120db. The air bottle sits in a bottle cage and the horn and button on your handlebars.

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. Scared the crap out of me! Having a horn of my own would have been useless - They were right beside me when they did it and long gone by the time I could have reacted.

Mine was a pick-up truck to - funny how that brings out the jokers!
