First race of 2010
Harry Rosen 8k...a humbling race 44:24, 5:44 pace (that's km!)
Next year I'm going to lie and say my goal time is faster...so I can get into a better corral. It's what many people did. With a mere 2200 participants- being in front of that sea of people surely would help. Yeah, I know- sour grapes! :D
Beautiful day - I think it was about 15 C at the 1000 a.m. start. Shorts and a tank were all I needed. Slightly overcast- perfect weather. I ran. AHR was 178- popping up to 191 on the final hill (it's a killer). I've run this particular race 3 times, one time slower, one time quicker. 8/74 AG.
Things that may have contributed to less than stellar pace--hmm...did bike hills yesterday, have a mild ITB issue, just finishing my last assignments for my Master's degree, land line and internet have been down all week- I spend my evenings at DH's physio clinic. Anyway- it's done. I am humbled. Tonight I will have beer and wings to celebrate the end of school.
I'm so grateful for a nice day to run - I will use it to push myself towards improvements for the rest of the year.

Sure looks good to me. :) Congrats!
Weather sounds nice. Our days have been varying, some cold, some warm, most days I still have to wear layers (damp mornings always feel colder). My favorite are the shorts and tshirt days, no insulating layers, just... freedom. Ahh!
Good to have the first race behind you, though it's hard to believe the season has already begun.
