Red mittens insanity
1+ million prs. of red mittens most likely to be sold before Games. Geez, a feeding frenzy. It must be a sign of economic recession and cold, if people are after red mittens as the hot souvenier.

Most likely by the end of Games there will be 3+ million prs. sold. My guess.

In 2002 it was those Roots hats.

The mittens are cute and so are the mascots!

I love mittens.
And I love standard poodles (though without the sunglasses).
CTV runs a daily mitten photo.

And the next one of the horse is a scream.

Gee, uber-Olympic-Canuck branding. In a way, for the Canadian location candid photos, photos highlight some places in Canada that others worldwide may not be aware of yet.
Still am trying to figure out that whole Christmas tree decorated with those mittens! They are $10.00CAN/pr. ($20.00CAN in the high Arctic). One heck of an expensive tree but at least if the cat pulls it down, no decorations are broken and 'decorations' are reuseable.
I'm not kiddin', we just bought a pr. of small red mittens about 2 hrs. ago ..for his grandson. We're visiting Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island for the day since he is his own company courier for biz on important pkgs.
ALL adult sized red mittens are not available at the downtown store outlet in this city. Several of us (customers) stood looking at display of just teen sized mittens.
If we submitted a red mitten photo, it would be dull. No horse to cover up with mitten ears or against a background of the real Great Wall of China. We did not bring our bikes. So what would you suggest for an interesting photo to submit? :p
Edit: Just thought of something here. Stay posted. Photo to be posted in 2 days or so. It is unique. But wonder if someone else will think of it sooner.

There is something strangely alluring about them. I think it's the relative simplicity, but still sort of unique (the maple leaf on the palm, for example).
Now I kind of want a pair, and I live in Arizona.
