Didn't WABA move a year or so ago?
WABA should speak up about Fenty's bad riding habits...oh wrong thread. I'll put it there, too.
I did this today. Pulled the trailer to Dupont Circle this morning, took two loads of boxes and one load of two chairs, and at that point everything was moved! They had several really big trailers, so my puny one didn't do a whole lot of good, but I was able to take bigger loads than those using BOB trailers.
The new office is uphill from the old one, so that was a bit challenging pulling a load.
I learned some things about my trailer. It needs a piece of wood against the front to keep things from sliding toward my wheel. And I need to figure out a way of rigging adjustable ropes to tighten down any size load. But overall, the trailer worked well.
A great way to work the kinks out. You're very generous, DB.
Did you get any swag for your effort?
How about ratcheting tie-downs or bungees to secure a load?
They provided donuts and bagels and coffee, and supposedly pizza afterward but I didn't stay since I don't eat pizza. Everything was boxed up, so if they had anything to give away it wouldn't have been accessible anyway.
I didn't know there were such things as ratcheting tie-downs. I'll have to take a look at Home Depot the next time I'm there (which will be soon since Sammy has chewed through the wood on the baby gate and it's in need of repair to make it useable again.)
