I think Stage 3 of last year's Tour de France is a beautiful example of pacelining at work in group conditions.

Also, people with aero bars in general aren't necessarily to be avoided ... as long as they aren't using them except for when they're at the front of the line. I think most of us are taught not to be on the bars when pacelining.
