My new road bike doesn't fit... sigh...
So I finally decided to put the pedals on my new Felt team garmin series bike and give her a go. The sizing was a big question mark to me, but I figured I would give the 47 a try. That is the smallest they make.
Well I got on her and immediately knew she was too big. And with an 80mm stock stem, there is no changing that. Plus I am a big proponent of the FRAME being the correct size before anything else. I measured her up against the QR and she is a good inch off in the tt. :(
Bummer, she really is a cute bike. She is what we call the "poser"edition, because she's alu and has entry level componets. But MAN is she cute. AND by buying her Felt donated money to the team. So I guess some good came of it.
Sigh..... I guess she goes on the sales floor tomorrow. BUMMER. I was looking forward to adding one to the stable.
(Of course my Giant rep will consider it karma for having not picked up a Giant. I can hear her now....)

I'm glad to hear that many of you are talking about Giant bikes!! They are a great company, are probably the most financially sound mass produced company right now. They actually produce many of the frames that many of you aare riding from other companies...ummm.
RM, your new bike sounds great, too bad it didn't fit. Before you buy another, is there a way for you to study the geometry of the bike that you currently ride vs anything that you might be interested in the future? That should definitely help with fitting, and not have another great bike in the shop that doesn't fit you. Generally speaking, small and large bikes are a bit harder to sell than many others... although I'm sure you won't have a hard time selling the argyle;)
