Wow, that's gorgeous! I can't believe you got it at a yard sale...lucky duck! Your saddle looks to be pointing down. That would cause me much trouble and distress (but maybe it works for you?)
That's beautiful.
Beautiful! Have you taken it for a ride yet?
Wow- that turned out AWESOME! Beautiful build- so fast and smooth looking. :)
Beautiful color combo Nice job!
just occured to me that it is a stunning christmas combo of colours. also glad i'm not the only one who tilts down her saddle :p. congrats! happy riding!
Purrty and I'm jealous. Garage sale harumph!! All I find at garage sales are well ...
Yes Tulip - I did find this practically new frame and fork at a garage sale, unbelievable!!!
:) :) :)
Apparently the seller is a cyclist. He bought the complete bicycle for his wife, she did not want to ride though - and so he parted it out and sold the components, and now they were selling the frame and fork at his garage sale.
Of course I could not ignore a Bianchi... the two Bianchi sisters at home would never approve that ;) and so I decided to rescue it.
I had a few parts sitting in the garage (crankset, handlebar/stem, seatpost, seat, cable housing) - and so I ordered what I did not have (shifters, derailleurs, Campy cables, cassette, chain, wheeels and pedals) to build it up. It took a while to get everything, and a few evenings to put it together, but I'm quite happy with the results!
Today I took it out fr a longer ride and it's actually pretty fast for a compact. And not terribly heavy either, came up to 19lbs altogether so fairly decent for a training bike.
As per the seat - yes, my saddles has the nose tilted down :D and it's been like this on every bicycle for over 30 years. It's very stable and comfortable for me. Go figure it out...
wow, the bike is beautiful!
nice work!
that is pretty cool. 19 pounds is nothing to scoff at.
