Multigrain Waffles

Eggo multigrain waffles are nasty! Bland and flat... We shopped at a different grocery store this week because it was convenient. They didn't have the Vans waffles I really like, so I got Eggos. Blech!!!!!!

Will birds eat waffles? :rolleyes:

Not salvageable with a bit of Nutella, strawberries and whipped cream?

Bob's Red Mill makes a pretty darn tasty multi grain mix.... (but of course you need a waffle maker)

Ha! I eat them every day. Bland and flat actually works best for me in the mornings, since my stomach wakes up slowly. And they cost less than other brands that probably taste better.

I did buy some Kashi waffles last week when they were on sale, but I haven't tried them yet.

Yeah, if you mean the Eggo Nutri Grain waffles, I probably eat them 4 - 5 times a week. Easy breakfast to have in the car on the way to work. I like them.

Veronica - you need to try Nutella. It's like spreadable heaven! (in small quantities)

I second the 'Bob's Red Mill' mix. I use the 10-grain waffle and pancake mix and make a bunch of waffles on the weekends and freeze them for later use. Slathered with a little PB and homemade apple butter - they make a handy 'breakfast on the go'!

Ironically (since I just finished reminiscing about Belgian beers on shootingstar's thread about Belgian cuisine), I think the first time I ever had Nutella was in... Belgium. :cool:

Oh! That reminded me. Second Nutella experience was from a crepe vendor near the Eiffel Tower. Hmmm, warm Nutella crepes....

Yeah, Eggo ones aren't great, but compared to the Kashi GoLean ones, they're delectable! I agree, Vans are the best.
