You're getting a piece of that now? :( We just had record snowfall in our state (OK). Thankfully not record where I live, but some parts had 26"- that's just not right in late March!
I'm sorry your spring plans have been scrapped. Hopefully all the winter crud is done for now. Bring on spring, please, Mother Nature... ;)
p.s.- I know that's not what you want to see right now, but that picture is really, really pretty (just not in late March, huh?)
trigirl... yep kind of pretty, but we've seen it all winter... we don't need white pretty, we want green pretty, LOL!!
I heard we were going to get snow, but not this much!! Lucky for me the barn has two indoor arena's... guess we won't be going on trail today with the horses! (oh wait, maybe we will cause there's no ice:D)
hmmmm... last time I went to chicago it was very very very hot. But that was obviously a long time ago. ;)
It can really get on your nerves when winter takes too long. I know. I feel for you. :(
Yep, just north of the border from you....ain't midwest weather grand? Just when the roads were clearing of salt, we're back to praying for a nice strong spring rain (on a weekday, of course) to wash all the salt away...
I knew I shouldn't have been jumping up and down for joy when I got a couple of pleasant outdoor rides in Feb this year....(grrr) payback (/grrr).
I think I may have you sent you all of that snow. We had a big storm roll through on Thursday where Denver got about 13inches and the foothills got over 20. I like to share:D
It's crazy! This weather isn't doing anybody any favors.
Chicago, I have to admit after looking at your picture I dreamed of riding a Pugsley with 4 inch studded tires. :p
I lived in Chicago for a few years during/after grad school. I remember one day there was lake effect snow while I was shopping on State St. - in May. And then there was that week in the month of December when temps in Chicago were colder than they were in Point Barrow, Alaska, which is in the Arctic Circle.
Ultimately I moved back east for other reasons, but I was glad to say goodbye to the weather. It's cold enough for me in DC.
I live in Arkansas, right next to Oklahoma (I mean, my house is). Yesterday I woke up to a LOT of snow coming down, and it came down all wet and gloppy and covered everything with about two inches of snow. Then it rained, and the snow melted off of almost everything, and by the time I got back from a fit clinic at the bike shop it was all gone. Typical Arkansas snow. But then it started to snow again. By dusk, everything was covered with about half an inch! It's 55 today and we worked outside all day, but had to dodge the downspouts where the snow was still melting off the north side of the buildings!
