My first bike!!!
My parents have finally entered the age of computer technology, so my mum scanned and sent me some of my kiddie pictures - including one of me on my first bike! Don't know what's happened to the colour, it's all gone a bit orange - the bike was actually a deep red. A Wittekind with 20 inch wheels - it looks enourmous in the picture! I must have been 6 or 7 at the time....in a strange rainbow jumper handknitted by my auntie... :D

Should it look more like this? Not perfect but I pulled the red levels into check in photo shop, and little brightness/contrast, etc, etc...

Too cute!!! Your bike does look enormous, even tho the wheels are only 20". You look so happy!!!:D

Thanks smurf, that is loads better! :)
Took me ages to learn to ride - or more like believe I could ride. Used to pedal along quite happily, till I realised my mum wasn't holding on to the rack anymore - at which point I would scream "I can't do it!" and fall off. Then I refused to go on it completely for 6 months or so. Funnily enough, once the bike got out of the garage again after that, it didn't take me long at all to get confident...
P.S. I have outgrown both the jumper and the bowl haircut by now! ;)
