Winter project complete! Behold...BH Connect!
I just finished building up my winter project! The final touch was the red Selle Italia SLR saddle! (Actually, I'm still waiting for my red KCNC skewers but it's done enough to unveil now!)
This is now my backup bike! I like having a backup bike...I can put her on the trainer...go out in less that ideal conditions..whatever.
This is the 2008 BH Connect...the frame used by Liz Hatch and the Vanderkitten womens racing team, the team that won the USA Crits Team championship this last year. I build it up with Dura-Ace 7800 groupset...Easton EC90 SLX bars...Easton EA90 stem...some random FSA headset...Fulcrum Race 5 wheels (ugh, super heavy)...USE Alien seatpost...Selle Italia SLR saddle...Look Keo Carbon pedals...KCNC seatpost clamp...BTP bottle cages...and soon KCNC skewers.
The super heavy wheels puts her at 16.9lbs. But that's ok...this wasn't a weight weenie build. Her stable mate is the weight weenie!
Bike rides great...very responsive...comfortable...and stiff enough for my measly wattage! lol And yes, I ride a very small frame because I'm a midget...that's why the bike looks funny...small frames look funny.
