Rosedale Ride??
Hi all,
I have been happily enjoying my new mountain bike the last few weeks...I cannot BELIEVE that upgrading my mountain bike from the entry level bike (Specialized Rockhopper) I had been riding to the Specialized Era Mango Orange bike (or, the Schoolbus, as she is known) could make such a big difference. I have been zooming up and down techinical stuff I had no hope of doing on the former model. Anyhow, I am wistfully dragging myself away from it to get through a sprint tri in two weeks (hopefully I won't drown) and start working on a couple of century rides.
Anyone out there done this Rosedale Ride in Austin? I am looking for a 60 mile hilly course, and Austin has plenty o'hills. Its a hike, but if it is a nice, well supported ride I would be in...
Anyone, anyone?

I love this ride because it supports my aunt's school. Seriously Rosedale does the most amazing things, my aunt helps place older kids in jobs so they can somewhat assimilate into the real world. She gets a lot of them working and some even into apartments or halfway houses, this is their primary fundraiser. Close to the start there are people out cheering, even students from Rosedale. There are some rollers but a lot of flatter and wind on the course.
If you want hills though look to the Spirit Reins in Liberty Hill (great route in my backyard with nice hills but not a quad killer), Pedal Through the Pines in Bastrop (ouch you will feel the burn in the Park) or something on the west side of Austin.
