Let's Train for STP!
There was some interest last month in a training thread for the STP so here it is! Let's keep each other motivated and get ready to do 204 miles in July. I'm willing to put together a spread sheet to track miles and will have seperate sheets for 1 day and 2 day riders since the training schedule is different. Unless there are other suggestions I'll be posting mileage goals from the Cascade STP training site. I could do a line for suggested goals and another for personal goals for weekly mileage.
Here is the link to Cascade's STP training suggestions:
http://www.cascade.org/EandR/stp/stp_mileage.cfm
The dates are for 2008 but I don't think that's a problem.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll get the spreadsheet up and running.
This weeks mileage goals:
1-day 20, 10, 33 Total 63
2-day 10, 10, 33 Total 53

Good idea. Not sure the mileage is correct though. The cascade site said it is 202.25 miles. My computer has always registered it at 206 and the t-shirt DH has from when we did it in 2006 says 206 (also have a shirt that says 204 from another year). So, unless they changed the route, I think the total mileage is 206.
I am on the fence as to whether we will be doing it again this year, buy I may track my training just for fun.

Oh, and by the way, you can start your training if you haven't already on Sunday with the Chilly Hilly ride. Weather looks really promising!

I wish I could do the Chilly Hilly. It looks like a fun ride but dd has soccer practice this weekend so there's no way I can get to the North side of the state. Wasn't too chilly here today, 51!
