Oh, I hate reading this! I think it's such a cool idea, and when I was there in January, people seemed to really love them. Sometimes people suck... :mad:
I was really hoping this would work. I guess only in the Paris of my dreams. The real Paris has social issues and ill behaved people just like the rest of the world. :(

A certain amount of loss was anticipated from the start, but I don't know how it's working out since I don't live there anymore. It's a great program and really opens up the city to residents. I would have loved to have had Velib up and running when I lived there, and it was fantastic to see when I visited last year.
DC has a similar but much smaller (too small to be effective in my opinion) program. Anyone know how it's doing (I don't live there anymore, either--I just keep moving around)?
