Sleeping with cycling expert-clueless

Really, I do think I am...clueless.

I didn't even know until today that sweetie was quoted here:

I don't even know I shared a life with a "cycling expert".
All I know is that he got interviewed: My reaction: "Hey great honey. Now which interview was that with whom?? Ok, you know I forgot to take out the garbage this morning..."

But this is result of his European trip which I mentioned here, several months ago where he and a friend analyzed some cycling facilties and trends there.

Speaking of your sweetie, you should know he's mentioned in the last issue of Shared Vision (another free Vancouver magazine). Richard Campbell is the "coverboy" dressed up in a James Bond suit with a pinup at his heels. Quite a sight! Jack is mentioned when their trip to Europe is discussed...

You know, act of cycling advocacy doesn't produce photo ops...unless you count regular critical mass rides. (he's only participated in one out of...many that have been in Vancouver and Toronto).

I haven't even kept previous articles, etc. The clearest evidence of his work for me, ...along with other hardworking people in his group..is the end result...certain bike lanes, paths, etc. that finally get implemented. I know some of the bike routes in town that he has helped come to fruition..

but clueless...I am...he doesn't tell me until..AFTER it's been implemented.

Or maybe I'm not always listening to what he tells me. :rolleyes:

Maybe living in a household, where after awhile, topics of cycling, taking out the garbage, paying the bills, etc. ....gets all merged together...as muzak. :D:D:D

I am such an attentive partner/woman.

And yea, Grog I think most people who knew Richard would be guffawing their heads off to see Richard in a tuxedo with an adoring woman fan wrapped around his ankle. He is just total opposite of that type of guy.

On a different subject, but still related to cycling, he was just interviewed this morning on regional tv and radio, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. About bringing bikes on commuter train (Sky Train) and peak times.

There was/is a short video clip of him entering train with this bike this morning. Unfortunately I can't do a quick screen shot paste into this.

Grog, you should have been there to assist...he and another guy were interviewed by 2 divisions, English CBC radio and Radio-Canada CBC ( French CBC radio). The other guy, had parents from Acadia....New Brunswick du Nord. So maybe his French wasn't as top-notch as yours. :) :D
