That's cool, but it kind of makes me sad in light of news reports I saw just two nights ago.
We see such awful stories of hatred and violence between cyclists and car drivers on the news here. That story makes it sound like this place is so wonderful for cyclists, but there is a real nasty undercurrent here. There certainly are a large number of cyclists who think the rules of the road don't apply to them. Of course, many drivers use those cyclists as an excuse to hate us all. I only hope that as gas gets more expensive, the die-hard bicycle haters are forced to don two-wheel transportation themselves.
