Hey guys what do you think? I am torn. It looks like a nice bike but I already have one. But I don't know how often I will run across one of these in the future. Look 853 steel!

No.
Your bike is better than that one.
If you must buy something, these are nice. You have the shipping address;)
err can anyone send me any thoughts on this bike. i was hoping it would make a nice long distance rider since all Lemond bikes are a bit more relaxed than in general. The 853 is so tantalizing.
No personal experience, but I've heard good things. I seem to recall that the top tubes run a little long, though...might want to double check geometry. Otherwise, it's prolly a sweet ride:)
Older steel LeMonds are nice rides. I've been on (and off...it's sporadic) the lookout for one for awhile.
Some details about the 2003 LeMonds:
It's a 45w (W for Women's). They did a 45w, 49w, and 53w that year; but the smallest they went in their regular frames was a 49.
Here's the geometry details, in case you haven't seen them already:
(all measurements in mm)
45w
Top tube 498
Seat tube 477
Standover 725 (28.5 in.)
Head tube 85
Chainstays 412
BB height 266
Offset 47
Trail 67
Wheelbase 968
Head angle 71.0
Seat angle 75.0
hey dex thanks for the geomtry. how did you find the info?
I found a PDF via Google a little while back with geometry charts for the 2003 Fisher and LeMond bikes. I saved it so that I could determine what frame size I would need to look for in an older LeMond. (I ride a LeMond now, but they changed to the sloping top tube designs for most of their bikes in 2004.)
could you pm that to me? It would be interesting to see. thanks.
Of course, it's likely you'll be finding A LOT of deals on Lemonds in the near future (new ones that is)...
Since Lemond got into a tiff with Trek...
Zen you win. I was willing to put up a bit more than I thought I would with the bike. Unfortunately someone went a bit above me when I wasn't looking. I was already trying to decide the components. that is okay I love my little 520 (actually it is quite big) and I just decked her out.
