I sent out an email to our team last night and included a little factoid that Bubba found in The Bicycle by Pryor Dodge. I thought it would help all of you :D
The maximum weight of under-clothing (without shoes), approved by the Rational Dress Society, does not exceed seven pounds (Rational Dress Society's Gazette No. 1, April 1888: 1)

This was a real group! Here's a link with a few pix of rational cycling outfits. It mentions that 14 pounds of underwear was normal earlier in the 1800s! We were born at the right time.
