We fostered baby diamondback terrapins in my classroom this year. I brought the two runts home for the summer. They are currently about the size of a quarter. I am getting seriously attached.

Aww... I think they're cuter than the hummingbirds!
Oh my goodness! No wonder you can't bring yourself to release them. How CUUUUUUTE!!! :)
Well, now, those are about the cutest l'il things I've ever seen! :D
I love turtles (well, not crazy about snappers, but most other kinds!)
I wouldn't want to let them go either.... :(

Awwwwww....they're adorable. I LOVE turtles (except snappers) - most especially box turtles and all sea turtles. We had the opportunity to watch loggerhead turtles hatch and make their way to the water (under the close supervision of the turtle volunteers) last summer. It was SO cool!!!
They're not cute, they're beautiful!
What are their names?
Myrtle and Yertle :D
The turtle has to be one of the most perfectly designed animals ever.
Aside from the function, the shell is also a beautiful graphic design.
Turtle Love.
We did not name them. I thought it was best knowing that in theory they were going to be released. We just called them The Tortugas. My students loved them.
And Zen, the shell patterns on the bottom are beautiful and each one is unique.
Those shell patterns are spectacular. How amazing. They are beautiful!!
Thanks for sharing that RnR.
