Guess what's the fastest way to cross London?

I don't know if any of you are familiar with Top Gear, but it's a BBC show that tests out all the latest and greatest cars. Every week a celebrity takes a drive around the test track and they have some kind of challenge for the hosts. Last night the challenge was to cross London. One would take public transit, one would drive a huge Mercedes SUV, one would take a speed boat up the Thames, and the last one would go by bike. It was pretty hillarious listening to the continuous stream of bleeps as he cursed every bus that cut him off, every car that swerved into his lane, every red light that broke his momentum. In the end, they finished in the following order: bike, boat, transit, and car. :D Of course they had to change the results because it wouldn't look good for the car to finish last on a car show.:p

Did you see the episode where Hamster, Jeremy & Slow dude James went to the southern US & thier challenge was not to get killed..:eek: OMG it was one of the best episodes ever!!! I won't say what they wrote on thier cars & the threats they encountered :eek:

Last night's episode was cool too. They revisted the Aqua Car challenge & Jeremy's vehicle made it all the way to france!

Ah, good, I'm not alone. They just started showing it on BBC America here a few months back, so it's all pretty new to me, but I did see the aqua car challenge. I liked the one where they raced across Africa in their junky cars. I think every piece that could fall off James' car did. I did not see the Southern challenge, but I will absolutely be on the lookout for it!

We've been watching it for quite awhile. It's a hoot.

I think my favorite is the caravanning episode or maybe the "build a space shuttle" episode. :D

They have also had an episode where the car lost to the marathon runner doing the London Marathon route (not during the marathon). And one where the car lost to two freerunners crossing Liverpool. Basically getting across any city the car looses out, which is of course not what they want. One of my favourite episodes was when they re-created the winter olympics.....including sending a mini down the ski jump with rocket boosters.

Sounds like a hoot! I'll have to check my BBC America channel schedule for that.
