Ups and Downs
Literally...here are the ups and downs of racing for me at the moment.
The "Up": :)
I am going to be participating in my first ever Manayunk Wall Hill Climb Time Trial on Friday. Yes, I will be torturing myself for a little over 2 minutes as I climb the hill ONCE that the Pro Men will climb TEN TIMES at Sunday's Pro Race! It should be great - with a section that is between 17 and 18%, this 1K section of road is one of the most famous climbs in Philadelphia. I'll follow up with a race report once the pain subsides.
The "Down": :(
Unfortunately for PA cycling, we discovered this morning that the promoter who runs the majority of the Lancaster Co. Road Races has shut down. Every one of his races for the remainder of the season? Cancelled. Ok...we can deal with this! Please send some optimistic thoughts to all of us in PA who want to race our bikes this summer!

The Wall Climb went very well, thankfully! I was hoping to complete it in around 2 minutes 20 seconds, but I did it in 2:08!!! hooray! My hubby took a great video of about half of the climb, which can be found at this YouTube link! :)
Check it out!!!

Thanks, all.
I ended up 4th overall...I climbed the Wall in 2 minutes and 8 seconds. But, hey...if you think that looked fast, the woman who won did it in 1:55!!! SHE was FLYING! Amazing!
