Hi from England...
Hi,
I'm new to the forum having found the Team Estrogen website looking for jerseys. Have to say what a great collection, we just don't have the choice of styles or manufacturers over here. I'm awaiting the delivery of that nice Beijing one.
I've been cycling on the road now for a year. I started on a Muddy Fox mountain bike (hence the name), got the bug real quick and took ownership of a brand new Cube road bike in March. I absolutely love it and want to be out on it all the time but our English weather is not always accommodating - it's raining as I type!
I wanted to take up a sport that would keep me fit as I get older (in my forties now), be low impact and let me see the wonderful countryside I live in. I've even persuaded my husband to buy a bike (he is a motorbike and racing car man really) and come out riding with me.
Was interested in reading your experiences on clipless pedals. I fell over six times on my first run out (very bruised thigh) but I am used to them now and wouldn't be without them.
Well, just wanted to introduce myself. Would be nice to hear whether any of you have ridden over here in England.
Bye for now...

Hi Fox! I see you're in Essex. We have another TE member in Essex -- my daughter, also known as UK Elephant. Maybe you two could get together for some rides. Maybe I might even join you when I visit from time to time. :)

Hello MuddyFox! I just sent you a pm. Like Duck said, I am also in Essex! Would be great to meet up for a ride if you are anywhere near me. I'm in Wivenhoe and I'm always looking for company on rides although i must warn you, I am quite slow. It would also be nice to hear of some new routes to ride if you have any favourites. I have found some very nice routes around me (north essex/south suffolk) including some nice places to stop for tea and cake along the way (I am very motivated by cake...).
Hope to see you around!!
