I'm New as Well (Take 2)
Hi everybody! The reason why I say Take 2 in the subject line is because I tried posting yesterday and it hasn't shown up yet. So I apologize in advance if I somehow end up with two of these posts on the board.
I started riding two months ago, when my bf bought me a Fuji Finest 2.0. I would name all the components, except i'm such a newbie that I have no clue what everything is called, lol! I absolutely love my bike, but I can't help but look at other nice, shiny, carbon fiber bikes during the weekend at several bike shops in the area as I get better and start riding faster and longer. But that's just me, I like to shop :) I think by now the guys in the bike shops know my face since I go just about every Saturday and Sunday.
My longest ride so far has been 40 miles, and I try to ride at least three times a week. This week i've logged about 96 miles. I like being out there on the road, but I am not a fan of wind! But I figured, being tormented by the elements will only make me a better rider :D I always ride with the bf, but i'm hoping there are some girls in the Los Angeles/Orange County areas who are willing to ride with me!
My goal for this year is to participate in the MS event in San Diego with my boyfriend in October and probably do 150 miles in two days. Oh also, I want to upgrade from my Forte Campus pedals to Look Keo pedals within the next month.
I know you guys like to see pictures, so if you're curious or bored, you can visit my website: http://losangelesdaze.wordpress.com

Hi, Fuji
welcome to TE. I live in the Pacific Northwest ( you can put your location in your profile, that will help people find you) and have met a lot of nice folks here on TE that live near me. I hope you have the same good fortune.

Welcome! Will be blogrolling you now. The bike looks great!

Fuji,
Welcome! It sounds like you're doing just great! Keep up the good work! I'm sure there are lots of other women in your area with whom you can ride. There are a number of Southern Cal ladies on the forum. They can give you some advice, I'm sure. Group riding is a lot of fun.
I took a look at your blog. Get used to the funny tan! Most of us treat it as a badge of honor (althoug with the weird tan lines we get from cycling gloves).
Have and safe riding!

From one fuji owner to another..greetings and welcome to the board..looked at your blog. Nice pics, nothing wrong with the tan line from where I am coming from. Its just the beginning. And if you think your legs are chubby, you have twigs compared to me. :D
