I found this little guy sunning on a rock as I rode by the river and I thought he was pretty cute. He has a Yoda expression. ;)

He's adorable! Thanks.:)
A baby pond slider! I saw one today too. They are really moving from pond to pond this time of the year.
Yes, they are pretty busy right now. This one was so tiny--about the size of a half dollar. :)
Aww...I love turtles:D
That looks like the kind we used to buy at the dime store
(how old am I?)
.
Was pleased to be able to load this pic and show my nearly 13 year old who has had a passion for turtles his whole life.
He thought it was pretty cool that you saw one when you were out and about on your bike
:)
It is so funny when we first moved here to the central coast i was walking down this street one day and saw a turtle off the side of the road. I thought "Oh know someone has lost thier turtle". And then realized I was standing right next to a wetlands! And that was his home. I don't know what our turtles are called I will have to find out!
and I love turtles too! We had a big dessert tortoise when I was a kid. Oh my next door neighbor has a turtle that has been with tier family for over 50 years. It belonged to her grandma then her mom and now her. isn't that cool! They just moved in. And she said the turtle love really ripe almost rotten fruit. So I said that is great since I have two plum tree's and and apple tree! I will be supplying all thier summer turtle fruit!
We had S & H Green stamps.
Now where's my rheumatis medicine?
I am currently fostering 6 baby diamondback terrapin turtles in my classroom. I am supposed to let them go in the bay soon. Nope, I am in love with my tortugas. They are currently the size of half dollars and I am not sending them out to be eaten by a big flounder. Nope ain't gonna happen. I will take a pic and post it for my fellow turtle overs.
I found a tiny baby turtle in my garden the other day. So precious!
I talked sweetly to him and left him hiding among the chives. :)
