I did! Had a fab ride round the isle. Oh, what a pretty day. I felt amazing. I think riding all winter has made me stronger.
Saw only 2 other riders, but a lot of runners. I think there are a lot of people around here training for the Boston Marathon, which I'm really tempted to go watch, just to see our old friend Lance.
Off to eat some bunny's ears now!

Had a chilly Bunny ride myself. Saw lots of real bunnies, braving the cold morning, and was treated to a beautiful sunrise. Fifty miles--getting ready for the Wild Goose Chase (sheesh, only five more weeks to go). Afterward, treated myself to a Mounds egg and an Almond Joy egg!
We did a 25.6 mile ride today, same as yesterday, but a completely different ride.
Since we don't celebrate Easter, we always take this day to do a very quiet ride, but since Easter was so early, we didn't go out this morning, as it was 28 degrees here! After waiting until almost 2 PM to start, we noticed that there was a little more traffic than we expected, but it died down after awhile.
We rode to our old house, the long way and back an even longer way. All very familiar roads through Acton, Boxborough, West Concord, and Concord. The way there is all slightly uphill and we were riding directly into the wind, coming from the west. It was much less than yesterday, but still a bit of a factor. The way home is all down hill until we get to our street. I felt stronger than yesterday, despite the fact I had a stitch in my side, and I had to pee until we got back to Concord Center and I used the public rest rooms there. We rode past several friend's houses, but didn't want to disturb anyone celebrating the holiday or stop and maybe feel like I didn't want to ride home after that!
My average was exactly the same as yesterday and my husband is still keeping me under control and making me follow the PT's orders. I actually enjoy riding slower and taking the pressure off of myself, but I know after a couple of weeks I will be itching to build back up.

I am trying to get back from my 2 months of winter non-riding. My second Spring ride was today, and my sit bones were pretty sore from yesterday, and my legs are not used to the hills again yet. But not as bad as I had feared. My fitness walking all winter and my roller skating all must have helped keep me from getting too soft and sassy and fat. :cool:

No riding for me. 3 weeks of sick and currently on antibiotics for a sinus infection and I'm still wiped out. Maybe by the end of the week, I'll be back on the commuter...:(
I finished the route I got dead ended on last weekend. It really whupped my behind! By 20 miles I was pooped and with 4 to go I was near agony just wanting to get it over! Not sure why it was so hard today. It was not a good ride! At least the weather was beautiful; not warm like last weekend but clear and crisp. :(
I did see a huge bunny statue. I think Regina knows the one.
got my new Roubiax out for a 30 mile jaunt today. I need to adjust the cleats some. I had also order terry mandarin neck jersey on clearance. found out why it was marked down - one itsy-bitsy pocket:( Cooling wise it did ok, considering my thermometer is reading 89 (for those with snow: come out here in august when it's 110 at 11am:))
I did! I got my sick butt off the couch and joined the club for their 2:00 ride. I took it very SLOW and EASY but it sure felt good to up and about. My legs did not have a lot of power but the group I rode with was in no hurry so no worries. In all we logged just shy of 23 miles. I'm tired and I hope I sleep tonight.
Gee, thanks, Lisa! I will let you have your 25 degree rides, because that would not be fun for me. I can go down to 38 or so on my road bike, if it is sunny out, and lower, if I am just doing an errand on my Jamis or mountain biking.
Did you get my email with my dates for the Berkshires? The other night my friend said he was going to start planning some routes, so I reminded him that we already have one day booked!

If you can believe it hit 75+ here in No. Cal.
Rode with two friends and we did 44 miles in the flats with little wind, averaged 17mph! Nice.
Spring Flowers everywhere and the mallards were searching for mates. It doesn't get much better!
I will send out sunshine vibes your way! I hope spring slows down a little or we are in for a long summer!
This is the funny part...got home and my girls wanted to swim! Ahhh! So put the lifejackets on and in they went. I went in about calf deep and that was enough for me. Got to love being 4 and 2! The cold water did feel good on the worked-out legs. Enjoy your Easter!
