Totally overcast here in Central VA. Last night, naturally, was totally clear. The clouds rolled in just in time to hide tonight's spectacle.........:rolleyes:
I"ve got scattered clouds. But, I get glimpses that are stunning. It's about halfway covered right now!
Ooooh...gorgeous right now! About 1/2 covered, and right now, still low enough in the sky for it to look HUGE!!

Clear and a great view from my bedroom balcony. Only about 1/8th exposed right now.
Oh, Jane, you're right! There's a big hole in the cloud cover (at least for the moment, LOL!) right where the moon is now (9:42 p.m.)......Verrrrrryyyyy cool!......:D

Poifect pic, Jane! Sky seems to be clearing really fast here. It's sometimes hard to tell what's going on sky-wise here 'cause we've got so many big trees in my neighborhood.........:)
There was a little hole in the clouds and we caught a glimpse of a sliver of the moon just now, but you wouldn't guess it was in eclipse unless you'd already been informed.
It's all covered now, just a slight orangey glow.
oh, it's so beautiful, orangy golden with a star right above it and a star to the north! (which planets are they?)
SKnot and I watched it to totality. Fabulous!
