Which *region* do you post in since there is no Midwest?
you can post anywhere. If you're talking about scheduled rides, that could be a problem. You can post in the open forum.
Thanks mimitabby. I was mainly talking about the region such as South Central, North Central, etc. so I could keep an eye out for any big rides, people coming to my area ... stuff like that. I just wasn't sure which section most of the poeple in the Midwest posted to. :)
I post in North Central ,, I live outside St Louis area on the East side in IL
Thanks lattae.
I post where it says Arkansas on the top, but it doesn't matter since no one else posts there. :)

I've often wondered myself. I believe I posted in the North Central region once and others in Missouri found it. Seems like the regions surround, but don't include us!
I just keep an eye on things like the trailnet and tc calendars, plus stlbiking or gorc and don't rely on this board for rides.
(St. Louis county area)
Are you enjoying our I-44 weather show today? I actually rode my mountain bike to school, they sent us home today, so I rode home in the sleet, snow and ice.
Ha ha! Yeah, I guess no riding or running outside for us today. By 10:30 am we had 1/2 inch of ICE on the ground and another round is coming in a couple of hours. Supposed to get another 1/2 inch or so. Crazy Missouri weather. "If you don't like the weather, wait a few hours, it will change." :D
Tiffany, are you doing the Tornado Alley Tour in Joplin in July? I wanted to do it SO bad last year, but there were obstacles. I wanted to do it really badly because the Metal Cowboy was there, and I'm a huge fan and he replied to my fan-emails. But, we'd just decided to get the credit cards paid off, and there was no money for gas to get to Joplin and back. It's a bit of a ride (5 hr drive) and then to go 100 miles in July heat and Ozark hills...I admit I seriously considered that option.
Also it was on my daughter's birthday.
I can make it happen this year, but I don't know if he'll be there again. I sure hope so. At least now I have family nearby, my mother-in-law moved to a tiny town in that area a few months ago.
I will give it some serious thought this year. I was unable to go last year because I was out of town that weekend. I admit that I was a little relieved that I had an excuse not to do it because they have warned people about the difficulty level. :o I will get my mind ready for it as well as the body this year. Ha ha. Keep in touch ... maybe we'll see each other there!
But you don't have to do a full century, there's a metric option and a Family Ride. I certainly won't think less of you if you do the family ride, I'll be thrilled you're there at all!
Naturally being at least a little crazy, I will die trying the full century. I don't have anything to prove, I'm just stupid that way. :)
