I'm cold!
The heater in my jeep is not so hot, my toes and fingers were numb when I drove home from work this AM.
It's just not supposed to be this cold here.
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Zen, we didn't get this kind of cold last year until February. That entire month was horrible in '07---ice, snow, cold. I have my fingers crossed that since we are getting hit a bit earlier, we will have an early spring. Think +++.
It is brutal out there, no doubt.
Cold without snow is pointless.
Where's the SNOW??? I want snow!!  ;)
Dang, this would have been such a perfect day to be skiing, but we were up far too late watching football (what a slug-fest the Giant's game was, but yay...what an awesome game it's going to be...my Pats and the Giants in the Super Bowl!!) and opted to sleep in...
Regina, go up to Seven Springs. Pennsylvania can keep the snow! Or you can head over to Wisp.
I say bring on the RAIN to clear away the aftermath of last week's snow. Next Sunday is supposed to be 49 degrees---awwllllll riiiiiiigggggght.
Or just pop over to Whitetail or Liberty for a quick downhill.
Even I was COLD this morning- and I live in PHOENIX!!!
When I ventured out for my 60 miler at 8:30 am it was still only 34.
I don't have enough cycling clothes for that kind of cold!
I had on shebeest tights, a base, and two long sleeves. A helmet liner cap, my AV scarf thingy that I used as a baklava (sp?) and long finger gloves over my shorties. Oh- and toe covers on the Sidi's.
And I still was a popsicle for the entire ride.
UGH!
We were planning to head to Whitetail today...but the slug-disease struck and we ended up doing nothing but sitting around eating leftovers from a party the other day. Well, we did do the "Lean and Mean" Spinervals DVD on the rollers, but that was it - no trainer century, VB...only a 50-minute workout, just shy of 13 miles.
Oh..and RM...it's balaclava....a baclava is the Greek dessert with phylo and honey and nuts. Yummy, but very different!!! My sister ALWAYS calls them that! :)
I agree, zen!
4 degrees here this morning. Not sure what it is now - and more snow & freezing rain for tomorrow. yay.
I cough if I try to ride outside in temps below 40 so another trainer day today for me - 90 minutes then core work.
VB - I'm with you in the vote for the early spring!
Thought about you Saturday night, Jane.
I had an inventory job at Peebles in Woodstock. I got home about 4:30 AM.
As we say here, thats a fer piece.
I was planning to run yesterday, but couldn't deal with temps in the teens in the AM. I ended up running around 4PM when temps had reach 24 degrees (woo hoo!) I was still cold for the first half of the run. My body did not seem to like running in the afternoon; it was a very hard run. I'm looking forward to warmer temperatures this week and weekend.
I rode with someone from Hagerstown. No way would I have driven that in my jeep in these temps
We'll do a ride this summer I'm sure.
I'm thinking about your MS ride. I have to start looking at the calendar! Off the top of my head I've got Habitat for Humanity, Civil War Century, SheGotbike!, Battle of North's Valley Hills (down your way), The Canal Extravaganza....
It's gonna be a short summer :p
