		Please advice me.
Hi, I'm 16 years old and the Victorian State Swimming Championships are on beginning the 15th of January and continuing for two weeks. This is the major meet of the long course season, so I would like to do well as we have been training for this for the last three months. To improve my fitness level, I will need to do supplementary work outside the pool. What is the most effective way to gain fitness in this short timeframe? Please advice me.

I'm gonna be very honest here & say that there isn't much you can do in the way of training to give you better fitness by the 15th. You should actually be tapering your training volume & intensity at this time in order to have a full recovery by then.

		Hey there FB
Don't know how useful this forum is for you, and maybe you have posted this question all over the place and will forget which forums you have been in.
What Andrea says is right - no weight loss that will be useful or effective in such a short time.
Also, this is a women's cycling forum... and although we have swimmers here, I'm not sure how useful this place is for you
 All the best

If you're serious about wanting assistance at least check your spelling. It's advise me not advice me.

Why are we responding to these wierd posters??? We're not complete dorks and know that some folks are yanking our chains..

Maybe we are just being courteous to the new posters without making judgments as to whether they belong here or not.

It's sort of like the difference between waving full fingered and waving not so full fingered to people who honk at us when we are on our bikes

CC - take a deep breath. This is an open forum and anyone can post, if someone chooses to respond, it's exactly that, their choice. This is reportedly a young individual who may not know the grammatical difference here. As we all know I make a ton of grammatical and spelling errors.

I've always thought of this as a friendly forum. I hope we can keep our minds open and maintain our non-judgemental ways, something TE is known for.

As for fitness, what RR said.
