December 9 Rides
I didn't see a thread for today, so I figured I would start one:)
Shortish ride here in NC today - 10 miles. A lot of climbing (for me), and I've been off the bike for a while (life), so it felt like more. However, it felt GREAT to be on the bike and breathing fresh air.
It was a GLORIOUS day - sunny and mid-70's. Almost feels like spring (and the forecast for the rest of the week is the same - if only I didn't have to work...!)
Hope all TE'ers got to enjoy the weekend and take a break from the holiday stresses to enjoy nature:)

Yet another damp and rainy day in Kentucky. The fog was unbelievable today so the bikes and I stayed inside. I did log 11.5 miles on my trainer this morning before heading into town for Mass and to do some shopping. It looks like all of the miles I log this week will be on the trainer - rain, rain and more rain is in the forecast. I wish that rain was snow!

I managed to get in 16 miles but what a dreary chilly gray drizzly and otherwise yucky day. It was not really that cold though my toes were starting to get chilled (damn east wind) and I debated staying out longer but it just wasn't fun today. In talking myself out of riding, I noted that if I did another 10 miles, I would be coming home in the dark, and if I had a flat or anything it would be really cold nasty gray drizzly and yucky to deal with that in the dark as well. Sigh.
