Usually after a ride, I wake up with my knee feeling kind of stiff. This morning after our half Diablo ride, it actually feels nearly normal!
Maybe I'll soon be able to resume my regularly scheduled training program.

Yay!! Tour of the Volcanoes, here you come!! ;)
The Tour of Volcanoes sounds interesting, but that's the same weekend as the Mt Tam double. I'd really like to do 5 doubles this year and that's one I can sleep in my own bed for. :D
Funny, I hadn't noticed my post count.

That is good news. Chatterbox.
Hey, that's only 1,000 posts a year. :D

Good news!
So... what lights/wheels did you get???? :D
God, I don't know. I leave all that stuff up to Thom! :D That's why he is my coach. Something from Peter John White. The light is the IQ Fly. It's new and is supposed to have better side spill and long range. If the range isn't long enough for my "flying" night time descents, we'll add the E6. I'm sticking with my battery operated taillights. Thom says they are the brightest ones he's ever seen while sagging doubles.
The wheel is a SON hub and Mavic Open Pro black rim, 14 - 17 spokes.
They should be here right around Christmas. Thom got a different set up for him. He's hoping to start commuting again when he goes back to work. He got the IQ light, same hub, but silver rim and 14 - 16 spokes.

We got the fly as the replacement for the LED's that screwed up everything electronic, and so far, so good:) Probably not bright enough for the descending you do out west, but they've been good here in NC.
So...which bike is this intended for?? And which tail lights?? I think I need to upgrade:cool:
The IQ Fly is pretty new. Maybe you have an earlier version.
It will go on the Legolas, that's my double century bike. We'll eventually get another light set for my Rambouillet and I'll just swap wheels if needed.
I use the Planet Bike taillights.

You're right - I have the regular, halogen fly. I've probably had them ~3 weeks. Not too many long night rides. I gave up on LED's after I couldn't track mileage at all (90 miles an hour up hill anyone?).
Enjoy!!

Excellent! So you will be all set for whatever comes up. I wouldn't use the hub for DMD, myself, just because of the weight. But you may decide it's not that much of a difference. The weight difference between my bikes is pretty noticeable after the hub.
I love the independence of the hub/lights. I need to change out my burned out primary bulb so I can start night rides again!
