Anyone have information on either?... good/bad/neutral.

Gosh, I don't know. Which one costs less??
I think the entry fee is about the same. The Apple Cider Century is more well known, and much bigger ride... but the 60 miles coming back into the city I hear can be quite heavy with traffic.
The Pumpkin ride is way south of the city......... traffic will be easy, but I also have ridden rides down there already...
kind of leaning more towards the Cider ride... but I might pay the price in traffic:(
hmm????????
ohhh pie - if the pie century actually includes the pumpkin pie that one would win for me.
I did the Pumpkin Pie Ride last year (if you're talking about the one in Ottawa). I really enjoyed it. I ended up coming the day before and spending the night in Ottawa. It was a nice little town and everyone was very friendly.
I had also considered doing the Apple Cider, but with the never-ending road construction around the Chicago area, I opted for the nice relaxing drive out in the country instead.
They had good food at the rest stops. One even had home-made potato soup .... and the pie at the end was quite yummy.
If I wasn't doing a duathlon that day, I would definitely have signed up for it again.
I'll be doing Apple Cider since it's very close to where I live. I'd be interested in meeting fellow TE people. PM me if interested. I'll be wearing my new Amici Veloci jersey! :D
