In the same vein (bad pun, I know) has anyone noticed a reduction in spider veins?
I think I have, but then again maybe the light's bad in here.
No, unfortunately I've got more spider veins than ever. My dermatologist says it's probably just age-related (I'm 46). Sigh....Quote:

I have one varicose vein (a big one) behind my left knee. How is it that cycling or exercise can help to eliminate? I thought that once the wein was "blown", it was well..."blown".

Varicose veins are larger than spider veins and are a result of the valves in the veins not operating properly,causing blood to pool in those veins instead of returning to the heart.
Since spider veins are so much smaller, new small veins can form (with exercise) to feed the muscle. The spider veins are small enough that they can be reabsorbed by the body.
My spider veins are frolicking and producing offspring. But I work on my feet all day, so that is probably the major factor.
