is biking like horse racing?

yes, I know, weird question, but I was lying in bed one night, unable to get to sleep after a brilliant (bike) ride :D replaying hills in my head. And I was thinking what a huge kick I get out of trying to max out my speed downhill wherever I can, and how my riding buddy didn't seem to mind just coasting.

And I suddenly got a flashback to way back when I rode racehorses, and how similar the feeling was, of balancing up there and just letting her rip...

So I guess I was just curious if any of the horseback riders out there feel the same kind of connection. I haven't ridden for years, but funnily I don't really miss it. I devoted years to horses before, and I'm sorta done.
