Seeing one of your kids married is sort of the symbolic end of their childhood in a parent's mind. You really did it, you raised a kid that successfully found a mate and is going to live an independent life. Marriage is more of a sure bet of that than graduation. It is time to step back and pat yourself on the back for a job well done. Congrats, DebW!
Congrats, DebW!
Mazal tov!
How wonderful!! Congratulation to you and your daughter.
Sorry for the spelling mistake, Margo. My Yiddish isn't so good... (I only know the swear words).
Congrats, Deb W! That's great--hope you all had a good time, and good luck to the newlyweds.
Congrats, Deb! It was a beautiful weekend for a wedding.

Thanks everyone. It was a lovely wedding. The groom's vows were so touching that almost every eye in the church was leaking. The reception was really nice - great venue, good food, wonderful people. Here is a photo of the wedding party and one of dh, myself, and son with bride and groom.
BIG CONGRATS! Thanks for sharing the pix. Everyone looks so happy. I've been full of emotion all week about my impending empty nesterhood, but yes, I imagine marriage definitely takes those feelings to a new level.
p.s. I think Mazel Tov is the american transliteration. Its hard to directly translate those characters........... BUT whether its Mazel Tov or Mazal Tov, we wish Deb and family all the best!
Sorry, dint mean to start an argument.
I thot since people were being "ethnic" I would be too. So I wrote in Hebrew not Yiddish.
