In a Heartbeat - I would buy Treks today if I could! Maybe start a whole line new trend of womens jerseys - and since I started the jersey thread - make them women specific for some of us larger-busted women...maybe something where a 38 chest is a Medium??....*cigh*..that would be a change!

Irulan, do you want to be part of a coast to coast cottage industry? We need a seamstress for prototype sizing.
I'll start working on some designs.
Let me make sure I understand the specs:
- true sizing for grrls with boobs (I wouldn't know :D )
- pockets in back (like the mens)
- both elastic and no elastic version
- consideration of having them made in bulk by a jersey mfr (i.e. garneau, aussie, etc)
I'm on it! Is anybody else good with photoshop, paint?
Is anybody in the least bit artistic and can draw a shirt?
Count me out - I'm really not interested in making a jersey. I was just wondering if anyone knew of one with that saying.

ack, you would catch me as I'm just starting to get buried in my busiest time of year.
Marketing is the real key... sure you have to have good graphics, good patterns etc but how you place yourself is critical, how you name yourself, must be catchy etc.
I'd send the patttern making out to a contract pattern maker, first y'll need to come up with a fit model. This is the body that represents how the line is going to fit. Example, the standard fit model is somewhere around a size 8 or 10 and everything for a certain line is graded ( pattern maker's term) up or down from there. Depending on the particular company, the fit model may have an atheletic build, a curvy build etc. You know how when you buy a certain line of clothes because they fit you just right? Chances are the fit model is close to your body type. See what I mean?
There's a really excellent book called The Entrepeneur's Guide to Sewn Product Manufacturing that explains a lot of this stuff, and how to be successful at it.

so can we get USB ports for our bikes?....so was can change the messages as we're riding?.....that way we can use the cheese N whine when climbing - and the passed by a woman when descending! - just a thought!

But it seems to me that most women who cycle must NOT have boobs. My MENS jersey's barely fit and I always look like I am starring in a cycling porno shoot- which my men friend think is funny. They say no one can tell if I am racing or presenting the awards. :(

Well- if anybody is interested in some designs- I can help.
I have good Illustrator skills- Photoshop would likely be pixelated eventually- you want an all digital design that can be sized without loss of quality-
and I am a professional artist-
I used to work at Disney!
(but I wouldn't use Disney characters on the designs- that's a way to get nailed for sure! Disney is famous for- how did they use to say it? Oh yeah-
