:D Sorry, but I've never actively participated in a charity ride and I just decided to do the Tour De Pink (Texas breast cancer awareness ride). I set up my whole online account thingie and sent an email out at work just letting people know what I'm doing. Was nervous about it cause I always think people won't believe I'm really a cyclist (on the chubby side)
I just had a lady from the building swing by with a check:D

It's what's known at the fitness paradox. there was a New York Times article about that not too long ago. Cycling is a very forgiving sport, it forgives bad knees, age, and weight. Some of the best cyclists I know are slightly overweight. If you think you're an, athlete you are.Quote:
