Up here where we also read Danish, this is "old" news. Rabobank is finally doing what the Danish national team did several days ago. I know the athletes hate it, but they're supposed to report their every move and stopping place in case the global drug testers pull their name out of the hat. The Danish nat'l team got tired of Rasmussen "forgetting" to report, or reporting one place and being in another. You get your three warnings, and then you're suspended. Now Rabobank has decided they can't live with that image either. All in all, it looks like this Tour is gonna be a case of "last man standing".
A good report from NPR and links to various associated reports.
Trek420... your coffee intake would get you tossed. Caffeine is on the banned substance list
spazz (who would REALLY get bounced for caffeine)
Uhh, I wouldn't get within 10 miles of it with the amount of coffee I drink.
Heard a bit on our news tonight as well. Looks like it's turning into a right debacle.
Why is it that people have to win at all costs - even if it means cheating (coz that's what doping is - cheating). Why can't they enter the race for the spirit of the thing?
I'm not into racing, but if I was, it wouldn't matter to me whether I won or lost, it's the taking part that to me would be more important.
Umm. I think you know what I'm trying to say.
